Lucknow, 09 November: The Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has warned State Election Commission that if the commission will not release the voter list, the SP workers will protest against the commission.

Yadav told that names of 21 lakh 56 thousand 262 voters have been deducted from the voters list and 16 lakh 27 thousand 756 new voters have been added but the Election Commission is not releasing the list. In such a situation, the possibility of some discrepancies is increasing.

He further said, the Samajwadi Party officials have also submitted a memorandum in this regard to the Election Commission. If the list is not released soon, the SP will also stage a sit-in against the Election Commission.

He said that till 2019, the Election Commission has been issuing the draft voter list before its final publication. By this everyone gets to know whether our name is enrolled or not but this time it is not out yet. Hence, possibility of anomalies in newly-drafted voter list cannot be ignored. We will also give a memorandum to the Election Commission of India (ECI) for this. If it is not issued even after this, then we will be compelled to stage a โ€˜dharnaโ€™.

Expressing anger over demonetisation, he said that the BJP has not even told the benefits of demonetisation till date. After all, who took away the black money? Corruption increased after demonetisation. In UP it is at its peak. Corruption has crossed the limit here.

He said that we always say that money is never black or white. Our transactions are black and white. Demonetisation was implemented by BJP only because of its obstinate stand and through it it benefited big houses.

On this occasion, Akhilesh Yadav also launched a Samajwadi perfume, which is made up of 22 natural fragrances. He said that it is a symbol that in 2022 the government of UP will be changed. People have moved towards change. No one can stop it now.

He appealed to his MLA Rakesh, sitting on fast unto death, to end the fast unto death and stand in the field against the government from now on. There are three engines, the government of Delhi, Lucknow and Lakhimpur. No hearing is to be held here as the government is dumb and deaf. In the coming time, people are going to change this government.
