Kanpur: CM Yogi to visit Zika virus affected area Chakeri in Kanpur

Kanpur, 09 November: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will launch the trial run of his dream project metro train in Kanpur on Wednesday. The Chief Minister’s protocol has also arrived.

Meanwhile, the transmission of Zika virus is increasing continuously in the city and the Chief Minister has also taken cognizance of the matter. Till now the officers were reporting to the government each day, but now the news of the Chief Minister’s arrival has created panic among the officials.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is visiting Kanpur district on Wednesday. He will be here for three hours and his minute-to-minute program has been released.

On his arrival in Kanpur, he will first launch his dream project metro trial run. Also, there is a possibility that he will travel to IIT by sitting in a metro train. After this his convoy will reach the Integrated Control Command Centre (ICCC) built in the Municipal Corporation.

After inspecting the Municipal Corporation’s ICCC, the CM will hold a review meeting with the officers regarding the health facilities of the city in the KDA auditorium.

From here he will reach the Zika affected area Chakeri by road. Even before the arrival of the Chief Minister, the officials have camped at Chakeri since Tuesday morning.

However, the Municipal Corporation team has launched cleanliness drive in Chakeri area since morning. Here the Chief Minister will meet the local people and talk to them, about which the officials are in a dilemma.

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Nepal Singh said that the team is going and listing within a radius of three kilometres of the Zika affected area. If anyone has come to Kanpur from abroad or from other districts, then their sampling is being done. The Municipal Corporation is doing cleaning and fogging work to stop the larvae.

He said that the Chief Minister himself would inspect the area.
