Uttar Pradesh: Yogi government to keep 15 lakh workers in quarantine centres in different districts

Lucknow, April 27: Amidst the process of bringing back the workers from other states in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to increase the capacity of quarantine centres in all districts.

Arrangements should be made to keep 25 thousand people in the quarantine centres in every district, instructed Yogi.

He said in a meeting with senior officials on Monday that Geo Tagging of quarantine centers of each district should be done. Along with this, quarantine centers of capacity of 15 to 25 thousand people should be built in every district. In this way, he has directed to expand the capacity to keep about 10 to 15 lakh people in ‘quarantine centers’.

Dedicated Covid-19 Hospitals to be set up in all 52 medical colleges

On Monday, the Chief Minister received information about major districts like Agra, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida), Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi etc. He also sought information about the nodal officers sent to the field.

Additional Chief Secretary Home Awanish Kumar Awasthi said that along with this, the Chief Minister has given instructions to increase the capacity of L-1, L-2, L-3 dedicated Covid-19 hospitals. According to the instructions of the Chief Minister, continuous capacity expansion is being done in health facilities.

He said that the Chief Minister should set up dedicated Covid-19 hospitals in all 52 medical colleges. Along with this, where there are no medical colleges, Covid-19 hospitals should also be made there. The premises of Covid-19 and Non Covid-19 hospitals should be separated.

Coronavirus case rate is very low in the state

Awasthi informed that despite having the largest population of the state, the coronavirus case rate here is quite low. It is per million. Similarly the death rate is much lower than other states. The Chief Minister also reviewed the commencement of emergency services. CM directed that permission should be given to start emergency services in private hospitals covered by Ayushman Yojana, where there are safety measures and training has been done regarding infection prevention protocol.

PPE kits and N-95 masks should be sent to every district

The Chief Minister has instructed to carry all the necessary materials like Personal Protection Kit (PPE) kits and N-95 masks etc. to the districts at a systematic level as per the instructions of the Central Government.

Food grains will be distributed on ration card from May 1

He said that food grains will be distributed to all the weak again from May 1. The processes of distribution of food grains will be resumed on more than three and a half crore or any number of ration cards. Food distribution has been done in two stages, which has a positive impact. On verification through ration card, it is revealed that ration has been distributed everywhere. Wherever complaints were received, they have been resolved.

Number of corona infected persons reached 1589

Principal Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad apprised that so far a total of 1955 corona cases have been reported. These include 1589 coronavirus active cases. 335 patients have been sent back to their homes after recovering. So far 31 people have died from the infection.

He said that after the case of corona emerged in Pilibhit again, the number of district free from Covid-19 has been reduced to 09. In this way, infection-free districts have now become 11 to 09. There are 1784 people in the isolation ward in the state. Of these 15 patients are on oxygen, the rest is stable. There are 11363 people in the facility quarantine.
