Uttar Pradesh: 1718 infected patients, 2327 cured, So far 1815 positive cases in UP’s 501 hotspots

Lucknow, May 16: Amidst the rising cases of coronavirus despite enforcement of strict lockdown throughout the state, now the number of people recovering after treatment remains more than the infected patients. It is showing good signs of health in the battle against Corona.

Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Amit Mohan Prasad said on Saturday that the total number of corona infected patients in the state at present is 1718. At the same time 2327 patients have been cured and sent back to their respective homes due to better treatment.

He said that the number of people recovering continuously for some time has remained higher than the infected patients. Earlier on Friday, there were 1773 infected patients and 2080 people recovering.

So far 4,140 cases of corona have been reported in the state

Principal Secretary, Health said that a total of 4,140 cases of corona have been reported so far in the state. At the same time, 95 patients have died.

โ€œOn Friday, 5,612 corona samples were examined in various laboratories. At the same time, 420 pools were placed for testing. Of these, 2,100 samples were screened. Among these, 59 pools reported positive.

So far, 8,500 people called for Arogya Setu Alert

Prasad said that with this, a large number of people are downloading the ‘Arogya Setu’ app in the state. All the alerts that are being received through the app are being sent to the respective districts.

At the same time, people who have come in contact with the infected people through the control room are calling and giving information about it. So far more than 8,500 people have been called. They have been advised appropriately.

However, the state government is taking special vigil over the hotspots regarding corona control. At present, 7, 54,976 houses have been identified under 333 stations of 501 hotspot area of โ€‹โ€‹the state. Of these, 42, 62,845 people have been identified. The number of people found corona positive in these hotspot areas is 1815, Additional Chief Secretary Home Awanish Kumar Awasthi informed.

FIR registered against 47,189 people under section 188

Additional Chief Secretary, Home Awanish K. Awasthi said on Saturday that so far, 47,189 people have been lodged under section 188 in the proceedings taken by the police department in the lockdown period in view of Corona in the state. So far 41,161 vehicles have been seized in intensive checking of 39, 70,716 vehicles in the state. A fine of about Rs 18.51 crore was recovered during the checking operation. Permits of a total of 2, 36,242 vehicles have been issued for essential services.

283 arrests on black marketing

He said that 283 people have been arrested also registering 623 FIRs against 798 black marketing and hoarding people.

40 FIRs registered regarding fake news so far

โ€œWith this, action has been taken against those spreading fake news on various social media platforms.  So far, 983 cases have been taken into account. Today on Saturday, a total of 20 cases, of which 08 of Twitter, 10 of Facebook and 02 of WhatsApp have been taken into consideration and have been forwarded to Cyber โ€‹โ€‹Cell for necessary action. A total of 40 FIRs have been registered under fake news so far,โ€ Awasthi informed.

Purchase of 206.30 lakh quintal wheat so far

Additional Chief Secretary, Home informed that 5838 purchasing centers have been set up for wheat procurement in the state.

He informed that so far, 154.30 lakh quintals and 52 lakh quintals of total 206.30 lakh quintals of wheat have been procured by the Mandi Parishad through the purchasing centers set up by the Food and Logistics Department.

Paid salary of 1604.52 crores in 74,240 units

He informed that 78,999 industrial units of the state have been contacted, out of which salaries worth 1604.52 crores have been disbursed by 74,240 units to their personnel.

He informed that a total of 32.07 lakh people have been paid Rs. 320.74 crore on the basis of one thousand rupees to 17.29 lakh workers associated with construction works, 8.41 lakh workers in urban areas and 6.37 lakh destitute persons in rural areas.
