UP: 3 criminals carrying cash rewards arrested within 24 hours

Lucknow, 22 March: Within twenty-four hours, the Uttar Pradesh police have arrested three criminals carrying cash rewards on their heads from different districts in an encounter. Police have recovered pistols and cartridges from their possession.

The UP police are tightening noose around anti-social elements and rewarded gangsters to ensure that the upcoming festival is completed in a peaceful manner.

In this episode, the Kaptanganj police of district Azamgarh on Monday arrested a crook Rajendra in an encounter while checking near Khiridiha. A revolver and cartridge have been recovered from his possession. A reward of Rs 25 thousand was declared from the Mubarakpur police station on the nabbed criminals.

Similarly, the police of Ferozabad’s Nagla Khangar police station caught the rewarded gangsters of Rs 20 thousand Kanhaiya while checking from Veerai highway underpass. There are more than 15 cases registered against the accused in various police stations of the district. Three cartridges with a pistol have been recovered from the accused; a case has been filed and sent to jail.

A bounty of 50 thousand injured

Baskhari police station of Ambedkarnagar district has arrested a criminal carrying a reward of Rs 50 thousand in an encounter during checking near Motigarpur on Sunday night.

Meanwhile, criminal opened fire on the police team, in retaliation, the police also fired in which he was shot by the police and was injured. The miscreant has been identified as Mithun, a resident of Azamgarh.

The station in-charge informed that the arrested accused is a vicious type of criminal, against whom 08 prosecutions of murder, theft, gangster act etc. have been registered in various police stations of Ambedkar Nagar district.
