SP MLA Nahid Hasan came out smiling from jail

Chitrakoot, 03 December: SP MLA Nahid Hasan, who was in jail for about 10 and a half months in a gangster act case, was released on Saturday.

Nahid Hasan was released from Chitrakoot jail at around 9 am. After the forms of the sureties were submitted in the court, the forms were issued by the court to the Chitrakoot Jail Superintendent for the release of the MLA.

On Friday, the advocates had submitted forms of two sureties of Rs one lakh each for the MLA’s bail at the MP MLA Court in Kairana.

The forms of both the sureties were got verified from the tehsil and the police station. On Friday evening, the court issued permission to the Chitrakoot Jail Superintendent for the release of the MLA. At the same time, after taking the license from the advocate of the court, he left for Chitrakoot jail.

Two days back, the Allahabad High Court had issued orders to grant bail in view of the MLA’s health.

In February 2021, a case was registered against 40 people including Samajwadi Party MLA from Kairana Nahid Hasan and his mother former MP Tabassum Begum under the Gangster Act at Kairana Kotwali.

In this case, the police had arrested MLA Nahid Hasan on January 15, 2022 and produced him in the MP MLA court in Kairana from where he was sent to Muzaffarnagar jail in judicial custody.

At the same time, his bail application was also rejected by the local court. After this, an application was made in the High Court for the bail of the MLA. Meanwhile, in September, MLA Nahid Hasan was shifted to Chitrakoot Jail by the administration.
