So far, 8,882 coronavirus infection cases in 3,027 hotspots in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, July 07: In view of fresh cases of coronavirus in the state, now the number of hotspots has increased to 3,027.

So far, 49, 59,956 people from 8, 54,813 houses have been identified under 823 hotspots. The number of corona positive cases in these hotspot areas is 8,882.

40.68 crore fine recovered during checking campaign

Additional Chief Secretary, Home Awanish Kumar Awasthi said on Tuesday that 2, 19,935 people have been identified out of which First Information Report (FIR) was lodged against 85, 696 under section 188 of the CrPC.

He further told that so far 61,282 vehicles have been seized in an intensive checking drive of out of 86, 45,100 vehicles in the state. A penalty of Rs 40, 68, 70,127 was recovered during the checking operation.

FIR registered against 977 people for black marketing

So far, 352 people have been arrested, registering 733 FIRs against 977 people for black marketing and hoarding.

He informed that action has been taken under fake news taking cognizance of 1714 cases so far. Today a total of 16 cases have been sent for cyber cell of the Uttar Pradesh police for the action. However, there are 14 cases of Twitter and 02 of Facebook.

Food distribution on 7.14 lakh ration cards in hotspot settlements

He said that the number of people who have done institutional quarantine is 10,096.

He informed that milk has been distributed through 4650 door step delivery milk booth-man in the hotspots in the state. A total of 6,939 vehicles for fruits, vegetables etc. have been installed in door step delivery. The number of provision stores with door step delivery is 5,504. There are a total of 36 popular community kitchens in hotspot areas. Food grains have been distributed on 7, 14,153 ration cards holders in these settlements.

338.03 crore paid to 33.81 lakh people

Additional Chief Secretary, Home said that on the basis of funds amounting to Rs.1000 each to 18.16 lakh labourers connected with construction works, 8.91 lakh labourers in urban areas and 6.74 lakh destitute persons in rural areas, a total of Rs 338.03 crore is paid.

He informed that at present, a total of 70 units manufacturing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and masks are operational. So far, 1127 flour mills, 503 oil mills and 332 pulses mills are being operated in the state.
