Lucknow, July 07: During the Unlock-2 in the state of Uttar Pradesh, the infection is spreading rapidly due to the negligence of people against highly contagious coronavirus disease and not following the Covid rules.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken it very seriously. After this, now the government is going to increase the penalty amount, the notification of which will be released soon.

Decision on hiking penalty amount after instructions from Chief Minister

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday directed the authorities to stop unnecessary traffic and make use of the mask compulsory.

He said that if a person is found in a public place without mask, then the penalty amount can be increased.

He asked the Health Department to issue necessary guidelines in this regard.

After this, the state’s Additional Chief Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad said that now for the first time, a fine of Rs 500 will be imposed for violation of rules. After this, each time if a person is found venturing out sans wearing a mask, a fine of Rs 500 will be charged each time.

Notification will be issued in two-three days

He said that this is being done due to people taking the rules lightly and not following it. So far, a fine of Rs 100 is charged in the first time. Notification will be issued in this regard in two-three days.

In fact, fines are being imposed on public places in the state without masks, handkerchiefs or mouth covering. So far, there is a rule to impose a fine of Rs 100 for violating the rules for the first time, Rs 100 for the second time and Rs 500 for each violation with the third time. But, considering the negligence of the people, now the government has decided to take strict action.

More infection among employees sitting close to each other in offices

Additional Chief Secretary, Health said that there has been a rapid increase in infection during unlock. Especially in the offices where people sit close by, more cases of infection are being seen. These include media offices, call centres and private offices etc.

He said that people are not paying attention due to the relaxation in lockdown. There is a feeling in them that there is no danger now, whereas it is not. The danger is not averted, however, the infection continues and is outnumbered earlier so people do not take it lightly. Strictly follow the rules for two yards and wearing masks.

People of the stateโ€™s capital too careless about wearing masks

The state government has decided to increase the penalty for not wearing masks in view of people’s negligent behaviour in public places. Talking about the capital city of Lucknow, there is a large scale of negligence on the alertness from Corona here.

In Unlock-2, people are seen making mockery of the physical distance.

The Lucknow Police have recovered fines from 17 thousand people who did not wear masks during stepping out in the last two months.

At the same time, many people keep masks in their pockets or put on their faces in such a way that they should be worn on seeing the police. About 15 thousand such people have also been released after strict warning.
