Sero Survey to be conducted in all districts of Uttar Pradesh from June 04 to check antibodies in people

Lucknow, 31 May: Sero survey will be conducted from June 04 for intensive testing of coronavirus infection across Uttar Pradesh. Through this survey in all 75 districts, it will be found that in which area of โ€‹โ€‹which district, how much infection of Covid-19 was spread and how much of the population was infected.

Not only this, it will also reveal how many people have formed antibodies to fight the corona.

In the state level team-09 meeting on Monday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inquired about the preparations being made for the Sero Survey.

Additional Chief Secretary, Health Amit Mohan Prasad informed that an action plan has been prepared for this survey starting from June 04. The survey report will be prepared on various parameters including gender and age by sampling. District-wise survey personnel are being trained. Its results are likely to come by the end of June.

Sero survey was also done in the first wave

The sero survey was conducted in 11 districts in September last year during the first wave of coronavirus infection.

The survey was conducted in Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Agra, Prayagraj, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Kaushambi, Baghpat and Moradabad. At that time, antibodies were found in 22.1 percent people in the Sero survey.

It is worth mentioning that many people will have to get serum test in Sero Survey. Under this, the presence of antibodies to fight the coronavirus in the body is studied.
