Sero Survey: 90% of Delhi population has Covid antibodies, 77% country’s eligible population vaccinated with 1st dose of Covid-19 vaccine, says Health Ministry

New Delhi, 27 October: Antibodies against SARS-CoV-2, virus causes Covid-19, have been found in 90 percent of the people of Delhi.

According to the latest Sero Survey report, antibodies to fight coronavirus disease were found in 85 percent of the people in almost all the districts of Delhi. This report has come out in a total of 28000 samples from 280 wards of Delhi. According to sources, in a Sero Survey conducted last month, it was found that antibodies have been formed in 90 percent of the population of Delhi.

On the other hand, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ campaign will be started to achieve the target of immunization in the country by the end of this year. This campaign will be run in all the states.

Talking to the media after a meeting with the health ministers of all the states on Wednesday to brainstorm towards speeding up the vaccination campaign, he said that there are 58 districts in the country where less than 50 percent vaccination has been done. Paying special attention to such districts, health workers will go to every house and motivate them to get vaccinated.

He said that in the Har Ghar Dastak campaign starting from next month, health workers would visit every house to motivate people to take the second dose of the vaccine. Those who have not even taken the first dose will also be motivated to get vaccinated.

He said that 77 percent of the adult population in the country has taken a single dose of the anti-corona vaccine. 32 percent of the population took both doses. That is, over 100 crore people have been vaccinated. He urged that those who want to take the second dose, they must get the vaccine.
