NCB quizzes Sameer Wankhede for over 4 hours

Mumbai, October 27: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Deputy Director General (DDG) and head of NCB Skills Committee Dnyaneshwar Singh said that on Wednesday, Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede was questioned for 4 hours. The committee has recorded the statement of Sameer Wankhede and all the documents have been recovered.

During this, Sameer Wankhede has told many things to the efficiency committee.

Dnyaneshwar Singh told reporters that the DG of NCB has ordered an inquiry into the allegations against Sameer Wankhede. Therefore, the matter is being investigated in a fair and transparent manner. This investigation is being done on the basis of viral video of NCB witness Prabhakar Sayal. Therefore, Prabhakar Sai and Kiran Gosavi will also be interrogated in this case.

Dnyaneshwar Singh said that an attempt was made to contact both of them in this matter; the house of one of them was found closed, while the address of the other was not found correct. Therefore, through the media, they are giving these two times tomorrow and day after day to present their point before the NCB.

DDG NCB Singh said that the investigation of other witnesses in this case and their side will be heard only as per the directions of the DG.

It is noteworthy that Prabhakar Sali, a witness of the cruise drug party, had alleged extortion of Rs 25 crore on behalf of Sameer Wankhede and Kiran Gosavi to save Aryan Khan.

Along with this, at the behest of Sameer Wankhede, Kiran Gosavi and Sam D’Souza, he was also accused of collecting extortion of Rs 50 lakh from another person and bringing them to the three.

After this, NCB DG Satyanarayan Pradhan ordered an inquiry into the matter by the competence committee of NCB itself. This investigation is being done by a five-member committee constituted under the chairmanship of DDG Dnyaneshwar Singh, head of NCB Efficiency Committee.

The committee questioned Sameer Wankhede for 2 hours in Delhi on Tuesday and for 4 hours on Wednesday.
