Lucknow, 03 April: The surging of fresh cases of novel coronavirus infection across the state has intensified. The carelessness of people by not wearing masks and maintaining physical distance is threatening to their health. Now more than 3000 new cases have come up in the last twenty four hours across the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Despite all efforts, the cases of infection are not being lowering. In the capital, various dedicated Covid hospitals have become full of patients. Patients are facing a lot of problems for beds and ventilators. The number of containment zones has now increased to 5,392 due to increasing infection.

Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad said on Saturday that 3,290 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the state in the last twenty-four hours. Due to this the number of active cases has increased to 16,496.

ACS Health further added that a total of 1, 66,110 samples were tested in the state on a single day yesterday, out of which 76,000 were tested through RTPCR. At the same time, a total of 3, 52, 36,205 samples have been investigated in the state so far. Out of total active cases of corona in the state, 8,933 people are admitted in home isolation and 383 patients in private hospitals. The remaining patients are undergoing treatment in government hospitals.

He told that till now 6, 05,077 people have recovered and discharged from Covid-19. A population of 15,37,14,820 of 3,16,80,095 households has been surveyed through 5,16,834 team days in 1,89,536 areas through surveillance teams in the state.

Appealing to the people, the Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health said that keep washing your hands with soap and water. When people wash their hands, wash them for at least 30 seconds, so that the virus can be destroyed, and wherever you go, make a distance of two yards from people. Avoid visiting crowded places. Do not organize any program without the permission of the district administration. The elders of the household must get vaccinated.
