Jaunpur, 02 April: Femina Miss India-2015 runner-up Deeksha Singh has filed a nomination from ward number 26 Baksha to contest the election for the District Panchayat member.

Until now, Bollywood stars have been in the fray in the Lok Sabha and state assembly elections, but in this time panchayat elections, the runner up of Miss India will be in the fray in the district.

The actress, who has earned name and fame in Bollywood, has started campaigning from village to village herself.

Deeksha Singh, a resident of Chittodi village in Baksha area, told reporters at a hotel in the city on Friday that she completed her classes from village to class three. She then moved with her father to Mumbai and then to Goa. She was a second year BA student while participating in Femina Miss India-2015.

โ€œAt the same time, father Jitendra Singh has business in Goa and Rajasthan. In February 2021, the album Debba, Mehra Kare, released by Diksha, achieved a lot of success,โ€ she said.

She has also written the film Ishq Tera of Bollywood. Apart from this, she has worked in advertising for many big companies.

Meanwhile, her recent big banner web series film is releasing soon.

Deeksha Singh said that she has been participating in competitions and political debates since the college, and she always came to the village from time to time. On coming to the village, we saw that even today Goa is far away from district development on the lines of Mumbai.

She said that she has come up with the idea of โ€‹โ€‹some change in the Panchayat elections and after winning the election, the work of development in the first village is my priority. Like big cities, she will also change the picture of her village.
