Rahul Meena, accused of raping-murdering IRS officer’s daughter, sent to 7-day judicial custody

New Delhi, April 27: The Delhi’s Saket Court has sent Rahul Meena, accused of raping and murdering an IRS officer’s daughter, to seven-day judicial custody. Rahul Meena’s police custody was ending today, after which he was produced in court.

According to the Delhi Police, all items related to the incident have been recovered from the accused. Delhi Police have sent the mobile phones of the accused and the deceased for forensic examination to connect all the links of activities before and after the incident.

On April 23, the court had sent Rahul Meena to police custody till today. Delhi Police had arrested Rahul Meena from a hotel in Dwarka on April 22. Police produced Rahul in court on April 23. Delhi Police stated that it was necessary to locate Rahul Meena’s mobile phone and question his family members to determine his past criminal history. The investigating officer informed the court that cash and jewelry had been recovered.

During the hearing, the court asked Rahul Meena why he entered the girl’s house. Rahul Meena stated that he had gone for money. The court then questioned why he had committed other crimes. Rahul Meena stated that it was his mistake. An FIR was registered in this case at the Amar Colony police station.
