These allegations were made by Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav.
He was addressing reporters at a press conference at the party headquarters in the capital, Lucknow, on Monday.
Akhilesh Yadav said that the BJP does not want us to stand with the people of the PDA community and get them justice. The SP president once again expressed support for the farmers and said that we have taken a major decision. We often see farmers in Uttar Pradesh struggling for their payments, especially sugarcane farmers. If the Samajwadi Party forms the government in Uttar Pradesh, arrangements will be made to pay farmers for their sugarcane within 24 hours. The implementation process has also been finalized.
Crimes against women have increased under the BJP government
The SP president said that since the BJP government came to power in the state, incidents against women and daughters have steadily increased, and this is because the Chief Minister doesn’t stay here. Everyone (administration) goes away with him. Why is the government’s claim of women’s safety proving hollow?
He also attacked the BJP government over the death of a minor girl in Ghazipur district, saying that law and order in the state is completely deteriorating and women are not safe anywhere. He announced that the party would provide financial assistance of five lakh rupees to the victim’s family.
Akhilesh Yadav criticized the BJP’s claim of providing 33 percent reservation to women. He said that the bill to provide reservation to women has already been passed in Parliament. He demanded that the BJP government implement it immediately. Why is the Modi government delaying it? Their delay clearly shows that the BJP does not want to provide reservation for women.
