Punish morons: Stringent action will be taken against pregnant elephant’s killers: Prakash Javadekar

New Delhi, June 04: Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar has taken cognizance of the painful death of a pregnant cow elephant in Malappuram, Kerala.

Prakash Javadekar tweeted on Thursday that the culprits of the painful death of cow elephant in Malappuram will not be spared.

The incident will be thoroughly investigated and action will be taken against the culprits.

Javadekar said that it is not an Indian culture to feed firecrackers and kill. It is against the culture of India.

It is noteworthy that on Tuesday, a 15-year-old pregnant elephant was fed a pineapple stuffed with powerful firecrackers that exploded in her mouth which led to her death.  

Elephant was pregnant and this inhumane act also killed her baby.  

However, the killing of a pregnant wild elephant has triggered massive outrage on social media. This tragic death of an elephant has shaken the entire country.

Meanwhile, the forest department officials shared photo of this incident on that has gone viral on social media.
