President Murmu gets warm welcome in Lucknow

Lucknow, 12 February: President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday reached Lucknow to attend concluding session of the three-day UP Global Investors Summit. On her maiden visit to city after becoming the President, she was welcomed at Amausi airport by Governor Anandi Ben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Several ministers of the UP Cabinet including Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak were present on the occasion. The President will address the concluding session of the Summit and participate in many programmes here.

Murmu will be accorded state reception at Lok Bhavan on Sunday evening. Apart from Patel and Adityanath, eminent theater artistes, litterateurs, writers, professors, teachers, doctors, sportspersons, craftsmen, officials and employees along with representatives of Lucknow business board and media will felicitate the President.

She will spend the night at Raj Bhavan. On Monday, the President will go to 10th convocation of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University. Before returning to Delhi, she will also visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple and attend Ganga Aarti at Varanasi.
