PM Modi grants Rs 3 lakh for woman’s kidney treatment

New Tehri, 13 December: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has provided financial assistance of Rs three lakh to replace the damaged kidney of Seema Devi (35) of Dansada village in Bunti Patti.

Seema Devi, economically weak, had requested MP Pauri Tirath Singh Rawat for help in the treatment.

Providing three lakh rupees fiscal help from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF), Prime Minister Modi in his letter has conveyed his best wishes to Seema Devi.

Seema Devi’s husband Rakesh Singh owns a teller shop in Devprayag.

This year, Seema Devi suddenly had to be admitted to Himalayan Hospital Jollygrant due to kidney problem.

Nephrologist Dr Vikas Chandel advised her to go for a kidney transplant. Pradeep Kumar, Additional Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office, has sent an amount of three lakh rupees from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund to Himalayan Hospital for kidney transplant of Seema Devi.

Currently, Seema Devi is undergoing dialysis twice a week. Seema Devi hopes to get a new life after a kidney transplant.
