Varanasi, April 3: Krishna Pandey, who was absconding in a case registered at Prayagraj’s Civil Lines police station under sections 420, 467, 468 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and the Uttar Pradesh Public Examinations Act in the 2023 Review Officer Exam paper leak case, was arrested near Akhri Bypass in Varanasi. The STF announced this information in a press release on Friday.
After the UP STF took over the investigation into the paper leak case, accused Subhash Prakash and Vivek Upadhyay were arrested in June 2024, and Krishna Pandey had been on the lookout ever since. A tip-off from an informant led to the arrest of Krishna, who was hiding in Varanasi.
