No ban on export of vaccine: Ministry of External Affairs

New Delhi, 08 April: The Foreign Ministry has clarified that there is no restriction on the export of corona vaccine to other countries. Vaccine supply to various countries continues.

The spokesman said that the export of the vaccine is decided keeping in mind the domestic requirement. On the lack of material used by the US to manufacture vaccines in India, he said that talks have been held with the US administration in this regard. At the quad summit held on March 12, India raised the issue of restoring the supply of raw materials from the US.

With regard to the new wave of Corona pandemic, India said that this is a temporary step by the New Zealand government to ban people coming from India.

New Zealand has decided to ban people from India from April 11 April to April 28. The spokesman said that this ban is applicable not only to Indians but also to the citizens of New Zealand. The spokesperson hoped that after this period the traffic between the two countries would become normal.
