New initiative in UP, Covid patients interacting with senior officials via ‘Evening Video Conferencing’

Lucknow, August 23: The Yogi government has started a new initiative to further improve the system of treatment among the continuously increasing cases of corona in the state.

Under this, senior officials of the Government and Health Department are interacting with patients from L-1, L-2 hospitals every evening via ‘Evening Video Conferencing’. However, action is also being taken in cases of negligence.

The state’s Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad said on Sunday that now between seven to eight thirty in the evening, senior officials, director general and directors of the health department interact directly with the corona patients through the zoom app.

“It is being negotiated with three circles daily. The L-1 and L-2 hospitals in the districts are directly contacted from there. There, the doctors or other medical staffs visit inside Covid ward wearing a PPE kit and talk to the patients, Prasad apprised.

ACS Health told, during this time, senior officers sitting in the capital take information about their treatment. In this way, feedback has been taken from patients of 60-70 hospitals of 12 divisions in the last four days. This initiative of the government will further improve the quality of Covid-19 treatment.

According to the Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health, it has also been learned that in the interaction with patients, they are getting medical facilities continuously. Wherever a complaint is received, efforts are being made to resolve it. In addition, action has also been taken against many people wherever incidents of negligence have come to light.
