New Delhi, August 24: The Congress Working Committee (CWC) will meet today (Monday) at 11 am to decide on the top leadership issue.

The meeting will be attended by the Chief Ministers of all Congress-led states.

At the same time, there will be a press conference after the meeting to share the discussion and brainstorm information.

In fact, the previous day Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi told senior party leaders that she no longer wants to be the party’s president.

She also expressed her desire to step down as chairman. She said that now the party should choose the new president.

However, Sonia’s statement came after several party leaders wrote her a letter demanding her to elect a permanent president.

In response to Sonia Gandhi’s statement, several party leaders wrote to her in response and expressed confidence in the Gandhi family.

Party leaders said that the future of the Congress is safe in the hands of you and Rahul Gandhi.

Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Ravneet Bittu and Siddaramaiah have criticized the challenge of the authority of the Gandhi family.
