Muslims gather in huge number against CAA, NPR and NRC in Chennai rejecting government’s advisory for COVID-19

Chennai, March 18:Thousand of Muslims, ignoring the state government’s advisory for not gathering in public places to stop the spread of novel corona virus pandemic, took to the streets against Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) on Wednesday in Chennai.

On Wednesday, this demonstration was organized by local Muslim organization Tauheed Jamaat. The protesters marched to the Madras High Court in protest against the CAA.

However, from the central government to the state governments are trying to stop the spread of corona virus infection.

Meanwhile, the protesters appealed to the Central Government to withdraw the CAA.

It is noteworthy that the central and state governments are taking precaution to prevent the spread of corona virus infection in the country.

The Tamil Nadu government had recently appealed to citizens not to collect together due to the corona virus. But protesters rejecting the appeal of state government demonstrated against CAA.

Meanwhile, in the wake of the outbreak of the Corono virus, a local anti-CAA stir in Washermenpet (Shaheen Bagh-style) in Chennai has been temporarily postponed from Wednesday. The sit-in was against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) for over a month.
