Lucknow, May 17: On the first Tuesday of the month of Jyeshtha, there is an influx of devotees in the Hanuman temples of Lucknow on the occasion of Bada Mangal.

However, a large number of Bhandaras were organized by Hanuman devotees on the occasion of Bada Mangal.

People queued up to get the ‘prasad’ made in the Bhandara. Some of the people who received the prasad also had ‘darshan’ of Bajrang Bali in Hanuman temples with pleasure.

The giant temple on Hanuman Setu has been decorated on Bada Mangal. Bhandaras were held outside the temple at both ends. Passersby stopped at temple to get the ‘prasad’.

Like Hanuman Setu at Lucknow University road, Bhandaras were organized at various intersections and markets of the city.

Bhandara, which started from morning near Parivartan Chowk, will continue till late night. For this the workers of the social organization took the responsibility of the Bhandara. Bhandara has not been organized at Parivartan Chowk for the last two years due to covid-19 restrictions to restrain the spread of the virus.

Similarly, Bada Mangal bhandaras were held at many places in areas like Indiranagar, Vikas Nagar, Mahanagar, Nishatganj, Rajajipuram, Gomti Nagar, Chowk, Kaiserbagh, Lal Bagh, Narhi. After receiving prasad in the Bhandara organized in the colonies, people took the prasad for the family members.
