Gyanvapi survey report: Survey committee seeks more time to submit report, court to begin hearing in noon today

Varanasi, May 17: The report of the survey in the Gyanvapi Shringar Gauri case will not be submitted in the court on Tuesday.

In the application given in the court of Civil Judge Senior Division, Special Advocate Commissioner Vishal Singh has sought two more days to present the report of the survey. Survey report is not ready yet.

However, the court will hear the matter at 2 pm. The Special Counsel Commissioner has said through the application that ‘this disputed site is big and all points have to be taken care of. It may take some time for the report to be ready. Therefore, it is requested that at least 2 days time should be given to prepare the commission report so that justice is done.

He said that the work of survey on Gyanvapi masjid premises and Shringar Gauri disputed site has been completed. During the three-day survey process on the orders of the court, 13 hours of video footage was produced and more than 15 hundred photographs were clicked. HD cameras were used during the survey. Video footage and photographs have been saved as soon as the survey work is completed. Video footage and photographs will also be included as evidence in the report being prepared.

Court-appointed Assistant Advocate Commissioner Ajay Singh told that in 3 days more than 1500 photographs were taken and several hours of videography have been done. So far only 50 percent of the report has been prepared. It may take time to complete 50% of the work. In such a situation, the report will not be presented in the court and the next date will be sought.
