Identify schools constructed under the Power lines by 31st of July: Chief Secretary

Lucknow, July 26 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Dr. Anup Chandra Pandey has directed the concerned officials to identify those Primary and the Madhyamik schools as well as public places by 31st of July which are constructed below the High Power connection lines in order to prevent any calamities happening from such lines.

Each report of Identification will be submitted to the District Magistrate by the Superintendent Engineer (Distribution) and it will be further send to the concerned Managing Director, Power Distribution Corporation and Managing Director, UPPCL for further consideration.

He also said that all the District Magistrates should directly monitor the process of Identification and stern action will be taken against those who were found negligent during the work.

Dr. Pandey has given this direction through a circular issued to all DMs. He said, β€œIf any officers of the Power corporation are found careless and negligent during the campaign, it should be quickly brought into the knowledge of the concerned Managing Director of the Power Distribution Corporation and Managing Director, UPPCL, Lucknow and a copy of the same should be present before the Principal Secretary, Power to ensure immediate action.”

Chief Secretary, after fixing the responsibility of all the Superintendent Engineer (Distribution) has directed them to complete the work of guarding, stay tight, broken insulator of power lines on the spot without any delay. He also added that works of line shifting in highly sensitive areas should be done within three months on priority basis.
