New Delhi, March 21: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday arrested Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the alleged liquor policy scam case. Central investigation agency ED detained Kejriwal after interrogating him for about two hours.

Official sources said that the Central Investigation Agency ED team has arrested Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal after searching for about 2 hours at his residence.

According to the information, a six-member ED team first reached his official residence and informed the staff that they had a search warrant against him in the excise policy case. After this, a search operation went on for about three hours, after which ED seized Kejriwal’s phone and arrested him. Detailed news is awaited.

It is noteworthy that earlier today ED had sent the 9th summons to Kejriwal for questioning in the alleged Delhi Liquor Policy scam case, but Kejriwal had gone to the Delhi High Court before appearing before the ED.

However, the High Court had refused to grant any ban to the ED from interrogating and arresting Arvind Kejriwal in this case.
