Dawood Ibrahim’s close aide Abdul Majid Kutty arrested from Jharkhand

Ranchi, 27 December: Abdul Majeed Kutty, a close aide of fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, has been arrested from Jamshedpur in Jharkhand.

On Sunday, the Gujarat ATS team arrested Abdul Majid Kutty, close to fugitive don Dawood Ibrahim, from Jamshedpur.

According to police sources, Abdul Majid Kutty, close to Dawood Ibrahim, had been on the run for the last 24 years. It is believed that he can unravel many of David’s secrets.

 Sources said that Abdul Majid Kutty hails from Kerala. Kutty was absconding for the last 24 years.

He was involved in the crime of collecting 106 pistols, 750 cartridges and about 4 kg of RDX in 1996.

However, other accused were arrested in the case but Kutty was on the run.

Gujarat ATS team received secret information that Kutty is hiding in Jamshedpur in Jharkhand. A team was then sent to Jamshedpur and arrested. However, Kutty will be sent for a coronavirus test and further inquiries will be made thereafter.

It is noteworthy that RDX and weapons were found during a raid on the Bombay Guest House near Dudhsagar Dairy in Mehsana on February 23 1996. Abdul Majid Kutty was absconding since this raid.

It is said that 4 kg RDX 115 pistols, more than 750 cartridges, 10 detonators were recovered during the raid. The pistols and bullets recovered in the raids were made in Pakistan. This stock of arms was sent to India from the Barmer border of Rajasthan, which was to be transported to Mumbai and Ahmedabad. After this raid, Majid Kutty had moved to Malaysia.

As per the sources, Majid was in Malaysia for the last 24 years. But as soon as Gujarat ATS got the news that Majid had come to India. After this, he was arrested by the team.
