Lucknow Police fines vehicle owner for using caste sticker on car

Kanpur, 27 December: On the orders of the Additional Transport Commissioner Mukesh Chandra, the Naka police station of the Lucknow has started action against vehicle owners using caste-related words or stickers on their cars on Sunday.

In this episode, the first challan has been slapped to a van owner from Kanpur.

Naka police station in-charge Sujit Kumar Dubey apprised that the police was conducting a checking operation near Durgapuri. Meanwhile, the police stopped the van car coming from Kanpur. Caste name was written on the back of the car. On this, the police gave strict instructions to the driver that it should be removed with immediate effect. After this the fine over the vehicle owner has been imposed.

However, the in-charge of the police station said that the car was stopped by Sub-Inspector (SI) Santosh Kumar, who has slapped challan against owner of the motor for violating the rules of Covid-19. It was also told to the vehicle owner that caste name written on the glass behind the car, should be removed soon.
