Crime: UP ATS arrests alleged Khalistan terrorist from Meerut

Lucknow / Meerut, May 31: Joint team of the Punjab Police’s Special Operation Group and UP Anti- Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Saturday arrested a wanted terrorist from Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh.

However, the local police have not been able to get a clue of the arrest.

According to ATS sources, the terrorist Tirath Singh (32) is a resident of Thapar Nagar in Meerut. He was hiding in Meerut by dodging the Punjab Police. The Punjab Police had been looking for him for a long time.

However, on the tipoff, the absconding terrorist is in Meerut, after this, the Punjab Police, with the help of the UP ATS team have arrested Tirath Singh from Thaparnagar.

The accused caught is radicalized. Bhindranwala’s posters have been found from his possession and he is said to be associated with the Khalistan Movement on social media.

A case is registered against him in Mohali, Punjab. Teams from Punjab and UP ATS are interrogating the terrorist.
