Covid-19: Saket court judge tests positive for coronavirus

New Delhi, June 10: A woman judge of Saket Court has been tested positive for the coronavirus disease.

The report of Metropolitan Magistrate Mayuri Singh has confirmed positive for coronavirus.

District Judge of Saket Court Poonam A Bamba has issued a circular informing about it.

According to the circular, Metropolitan Magistrate Mayuri Singh last appeared in the court on June 3. Her corona test came positive on June 9.

After the circulation of this information, the caretaking branch of Saket Court has been instructed to seal the court room number 208 of Metropolitan Magistrate Mayuri Singh, the chamber of the judge and her ahlmad’s ( record keeper) room immediately and conduct sanitization work over there.

The District Judge has advised all the court staff and lawyers to go into isolation for 14 days those who were present in Judge Mayuri Singh’s court on June 3.

However, In the Saket court, even before this, a clerk of a judge has got corona infection ealier.

In addition to the Saket court, coronavirus has spread its tentacles in other courts as well.

On June 2, the District Judge of Rohini Court, RP Pandey, got a corona infection. The wife of District Judge RP Pandey was also found to be corona positive. Both of them have gone into home quarantine.

Prior to this, a metropolitan magistrate of Tis Hazari Court had also quarantined himself after tested positive for coronavirus. His wife is a Metropolitan Magistrate in Saket Court. She too had quarantined herself.

Similarly, a judge of Saket Court was admitted in the hospital after his one staff at the court was tested positive. The court reader who came in contact with him was sent for home quarantine.

An officer in the Delhi High Court was also hospitalized after tested for corona infection.

The cook of a Supreme Court judge came to be corona positive after which the judge went to home quarantined.
