New Delhi, June 10: China has said on Wednesday that it is adopting a positive attitude towards India to resolve the ongoing border dispute.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying told the media that there was an effective dialogue between China and India about the situation on the border through diplomatic and military means and a positive consensus was reached.

He said that both countries are taking steps on the basis of mutual agreement to make the situation on the border easier.

Earlier on Sunday, New Delhi said that after a meeting between high level military officials, both countries have agreed to resolve the issue peacefully. It was said from India that resolving this as soon as possible is necessary for the relations of two more populous countries of the world.

It is noteworthy that the situation in eastern Ladakh deteriorated when on May 5, India and China in the Pangong Tso Lake area clashed with iron rods and sticks. There was also stone pelting on both sides, in which soldiers of both countries were badly injured. The incident continued the next day as well.

The consensus reached at the Foreign Ministry level talks that have helped a lot in normalizing the situation.

In these two meetings, two informal discussions between PM Narendra Modi and President Xi Jinping mentioned the instructions to maintain peace on the border.
