Lucknow, June 10: For better medical arrangements in the fight against Corona, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has handed over his official jet to Health Department these days.

On Wednesday, the Chief Minister’s plane carrying 14 Truenat Beta test (TBT) devices for coronavirus test from Goa reached Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow.

These TBT machines will be installed in 14 medical colleges in the state, which will ramp up the Covid-19 test.

According to Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Amit Mohan Prasad, due to the installation of TB machines in hospitals of many districts of the state, swab samples have also been tested through them. The highest ever 13,264 swab samples were tested on a single day on Tuesday.

“One TBT machine is being made available in all districts. These machines were made available to 20 districts in the first phase. Since then, they are constantly being provided in different districts. The Chief Minister’s government aircraft is being used to fetch these machines,” added Prasad.

“Through these machines, a person’s coronavirus infection can be detected one and a half hours. In these, more than one swab sample can be examined at a time. Along with this, non-covid care is also very helpful because of the TBT machines. These machines prove to be very helpful in emergency services,” officer added.

For the first time, a state’s Chief Minister official aircraft is being used to bring health equipment.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office, in view of the importance of Truenat machines, Chief Minister Yogi had sent a state aircraft to Goa on June 1, from where 21 machines had arrived in the state.

“Even when the trains were stopped due to the nationwide lockdown, the Chief Minister had sent a government aircraft to Bangalore on April 7 and had ordered 150 A Star Fortitude Kit-2.0 from there. During the corona crisis, the time is also saved by bringing the necessary health equipment from the state aircraft,” said CMO.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to make TBT machines operational by June 15 in all 75 districts of the state.

CM said that the State Government has made available Truenat machines on priority to get quick testing results regarding corona infection.

He emphasized the continuous efforts to increase testing capacity.
