Lucknow, 27 March: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will kick off his party’s Lok Sabha election campaign in the state on Wednesday in Mathura, addressing the first in a series of “Prabuddha Sammelans” or “meetings with intellectuals.” Adityanath is slated to visit 15 districts in west Uttar Pradesh over the next five days, all of which will hold preliminary phase elections.

The CM’s campaign launch from Mathura is significant because Adityanath has mentioned the party’s Kashi and Mathura agenda in most of his recent speeches, alluding to the legal cases involving the Gyanvapi mosque in Varanasi or Kashi and the Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah mosque dispute in Mathura.

Last month, when appearing in the Assembly, the Chief Minister stated that “vote bank politics” had such an influence that “for thousands of years, the majority community was forced to beg” for three places: Ayodhya, Mathura, and Kashi. “Humne toh kewal teen jagah maangi; anya jagahon ke baare mein koi mudda nahi tha. Ayodhya ka utsav logon ne dekha, Nandi Baba bhi kaha ki hum kaahe intezar karein. Unhone intezaar kare bagair ratri mein barrier tudva daala. We merely requested three spots. Other areas, there is no problem. After observing the festivities in Ayodhya, Nandi Baba decided he didn’t need to wait and had the barricades removed that night.

And our Krishna Kanhaiya would not wait),” he had stated. “These three sites are exceptional. These are not ordinary locations. God took incarnations here,” he had stated, adding that “stubbornness” combined with “vote bank politics” caused the problems.

According to a BJP release, Adityanath would undertake an intensive campaign by addressing “Prabudha Sammelans” in three districts every day. After Mathura, where the BJP has fielded incumbent MP Hema Malini, the chief minister will have similar encounters in Meerut and Ghaziabad on the same day. All three Lok Sabha constituencies will vote in the second phase on April 26. The next day (March 28), Adityanath would have meetings in Bijnor, Moradabad, and Amroha, followed by visits to Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, and Saharanpur on March 29.

On March 30, he will begin the day by addressing a conference in Baghpat, followed by those in Bulandshahr and Gautam Buddha Nagar. According to the BJP, on March 31, he would address sammelans in Bareilly, Rampur, and Pilibhit. The districts he will explore over the course of five days are Lok Sabha seats that will vote in the first three phases.

These prabudha sammelans will seek the assistance of intellectuals and professionals, such as attorneys, teachers, and physicians. ?The CM will provide a comprehensive overview of government’s achievements,? according to BJP spokesman Himanshu Dubey, who added that the Chief Minister would engage in communication with the people and once again prepare the electoral ground for ‘Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkaar’.

Earlier, in preparation for the Local Body elections, the CM addressed such “Prabudha Sammelans” in every district. But this is the first time he would do so during the Lok Sabha election campaign. Party leaders stated that because Adityanath would be speaking at public events in other states, he intends to commence the campaign in Uttar Pradesh first before travelling to other parts of the nation.

Meanwhile, while celebrating Holi at Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur on Tuesday, Adityanath stated that Holi represents Sanatan Dharma’s belief in coexistence and the world as one family.

“A secure, happy, and wealthy community is characterized by enthusiasm and optimism. Today, our society is secure and affluent, therefore we celebrate Holi with joy and excitement while also expressing appreciation for our history,” he said, adding that only by stopping mutual enmity and continuing on the road of truth and justice can we build a powerful community. “A divided society cannot be powerful,” he concluded.
