Lucknow, 26 October: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has blamed the past governments for playing with the interests of the youth of the state.

He has said that in the last four and a half years, the government has given government jobs to four and a half lakh youths, but there are many of them who should have got jobs 10-12 years back.

Yogi said that the previous governments did mischief with the youth. It is the result of their discrepancies that the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) had become a hotbed of controversy and the court had to put a stay on recruitment process.

He pointed out that the BJP government resolved everyone one by one. An honest, fair selection process was implemented and as a result, not a single youth out of four and a half lakhs needed a recommendation or took away the right of any talented person.

Chief Minister Yogi was distributing appointment letters to district social welfare officers (DSWO) and minority welfare officers (MWO) selected from the UPPSC on Tuesday. The CM said that Uttar Pradesh, which was the sixth largest economy of the country till 2015-16, is at number two today, has risen from 15th-16th rank to second in the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) ranking, so it has been possible through collective efforts. We reformed and the people, along with the governance and administration have performed, so today UP is ahead in every field.

Yogi said that today Uttar Pradesh is at number one among 44 schemes of the central government related to ease of living i.e. Ease of Living like Ujjwala, Saubhagya, PM Kisan. Expressing happiness over the formation of the team of UP in the IPL, the Chief Minister said that today everyone is looking very eagerly towards the new UP full of possibilities.

Yogi said that there are many such schemes like destitute pension, old age pension, pre ten and post tenth scholarship, mass marriage, marriage grant, which provide support to the weaker section of the society. All these are run by the same department. After posting in the field, these schemes can benefit the right person; it will depend on the diligence and dutifulness of the newly selected officers.
