Chinese virus: 708 people called ‘Dial 112’ in last three days

Lucknow, March 20: Awareness about the infection of Chinese virus (Corona) is continuously increasing among public therefore in the last three days, 708 people have called all-encompassing emergency number ‘Dial 112’ to ask for help from Uttar Pradesh police.

As many as 345 people have called 112 for help from schools, colleges, coaching and offices fearing an outbreak of infection.

In view of sensing danger of spreading the COVID-19 infection due to unnecessary gathering in public places, 83 people took help of emergency service of Dial 112.

Seven information of escape of patients from the hospital

Government ambulance personnel from Pipiganj police station area in Gorakhpur district informed 112 that two suspected Chinese virus (Corona) patients were running away from their village. They have to be admitted to the hospital.

Similarly, the emergency service received information from Vijay Nagar in Ghaziabad that two people had fled from the doctor, 73 people called 112 and took ambulance to take the infected patients to the hospital. During this time, there have been 39 complaints of spreading of filth due to selling meat in the open.

A family came from Afghanistan

From Indiranagar, Lucknow, Dial 112 was informed that a family had arrived from Afghanistan. It was reported from the Mahanagar area that a person had arrived from Switzerland. There is a fear among the people around it.

On the other hand, Dial 112 received call from Govindpuram from Ghaziabad that a person had come from abroad, who is feared to be infected from COVID-19.

Apart from this, information has also been received from Agra, Meerut, Ballia and Gorakhpur about suspicious foreign nationals.

On this information, 112 police reached the spot and after transferring the information to the district health department and local police station, further action was initiated.
