New Delhi, 17 March: According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi instructed ministers on Sunday to create a blueprint for the new government’s first 100 days and the following five years.

The Prime Minister, who presided over a Cabinet meeting this morning, also requested that ministers meet with secretaries and other officials from their respective ministries to examine how the plan for the first 100 days and the following five years might be better achieved.

The meeting was held a day after the Election Commission published the calendar for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The Cabinet also began the process of alerting President Droupadi Murmu about the dates of the seven-phase parliamentary elections by forwarding the Election Commission’s suggestion.

The first notification will be published on March 20 for the first round of elections on April 19 on 102 seats. The nomination procedure for a certain phase begins with the delivery of a notification.
