Mumbai, November 9: The Alibaug Sessions Court on Monday ordered the interrogation of TV journalist Arnab Goswami and other accused in the interior designer Anvay Naik suicide case for three hours every day.

However, on Tuesday, three accused, including Arnab Goswamiโ€™s bail plea to be heard in the Alibaug Court.

Public Prosecutor Pradeep Gharat said that an application was given by the Raigad police to the Alibaug Sessions Court for permission to inquire into the Anvay Naik suicide case.

Counsel for the accused opposed the inquiry in the Sessions Court, but after the High Court rejected the bail pleas of the accused, it was proved that the charge of wrongly arresting the police on behalf of these accused proved themselves to be baseless.

Advocate Gharat said that he presented the matter before the Alibaug Sessions Court and sought permission to call the three accused, including Arnab Goswami, as essential. It has been accepted by the Sessions Court.

Journalist Arnab Goswami’s lawyer Ankit Bangera said that he will be cross-examined on Tuesday in Alibaug Sessions Court. After this, the three accused including Arnab Goswami will get bail from the Sessions court on Tuesday.

It is noteworthy that Raigad police arrested three people including Arnab Goswami on November 4 in the abetment of suicide case of inter-designer Anvay Naik and his mother.

However, Arnab Goswami has been sent to judicial custody till November 18 by Raigad CJM Court.

Arnab Goswami’s lawyers had filed a petition for interim bail in the Bombay High Court, which was rejected by the High Court on Monday.

After this, the counsel for the three accused, including Arnab Goswami, has filed a petition in the Alibaug Sessions Court for bail. All the three accused are to be examined on Tuesday in Alibaug Sessions Court for bail.
