73,000 monitoring committees working to flatten the curve of corona infection in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, 20 April: Monitoring committees are playing an important role in breaking the chain of coronavirus infection in the state. The 73 thousand monitoring committees constituated in rural and urban areas of the state are not only collecting details of the infected persons by visiting door to door, but also making people aware about vaccination with effective prevention.

Apart from this, work is also being done to make people aware with the help of public address system (PAS).

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has introduced a test, track and treatment system to check the Covid-19 infection. The purpose of this basic mantra is to first identify the infected, then test him and give him proper treatment. State monitoring committees are engaged in realizing this basic mantra. In the state, 59 thousand monitoring committees are working in rural areas and 14 thousand in urban areas which is going door to door and identifying the infected people on the basis of the survey. Information is being provided to the Municipal Corporation and Health Department so that timely infection can be prevented at one place.

Making people aware for vaccination

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed to intensify vaccination drive in Lucknow, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Agra, Gorakhpur, Meerut, and Varanasi. The monitoring committees of these cities are also identifying the infected and motivating them to get vaccinated. These committees are working to clear the misconceptions in the minds of people about the Covid vaccine and to tell the benefits of the getting vaccinated against Covid-19.

Confirming well-being of people coming from outside states

A monitoring committee formed by the Lucknow Municipal Corporation to identify the people, who have been infected, in 110 wards is visiting the homes of the people every day and inquiring about their health.

The Municipal Commissioner informed that the ward committees are also inquiring about the people coming from outside states and inquiring about their condition. Apart from this, in the event of influenza-like symptoms, cold, cough, fever, the ward monitoring committee is also working to inform the healthy department.

β€œOn Tuesday, a total of 50 persons were inspected by the ward monitoring committees, in which 45 people were found to be healthy and only 5 persons found mild symptoms such as cold, cough, fever,” added LMC MC.
