Jhansi, 20 March: Captain Surendra Singh Yadav from Niwari district of Madhya Pradesh bordering Jhansi inspired by the courage of Mountaineer Bhavna Dehariya of Madhya Pradesh, will climb world’s highest hill peak Mount Everest.

On March 30, 2021, in the special presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Captain Yadav will march towards the destination of his dreams to climb Mount Everest. Therefore, the alumni of Sainik School Lucknow will also be present there to boost his confidence.

Captain Surendra Singh Yadav visited Bhopal few days back to meet mountaineer Bhavna Dehariya and seek her best wishes before going on his expedition.

He said that he would leave for the expedition on March 30, 2021. I met Bhavana during an event where she was determined to fulfil her life’s struggling story and her childhood dream of how she had dreamed of scaling Mount Everest, the highest mountain peak in childhood, and despite facing many difficulties, she successfully completed it. I too loved the mountains since childhood and before entering civil aviation, I also thought about climbing the mountain but then could not muster enough courage to fulfil this dream.

Surendra further said that Bhawna saw a climber in me and for this she helped me with her guidance and other support needed for this expedition. The day he is going for the campaign is the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of his school.

It is worth mentioning that Captain Surendra has been a batch student of Sainik School from 1980 to 1986, while in 1990 he became a commercial pilot with a license from the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
