2-day complete lockdown in Kerala as Covid-19 situation out of control after Eid al- Adha celebration

New Delhi, 29 July: The Kerala government has now decided to put a complete lockdown on July 31 and August 1 as the state has the highest number of fresh cases of coronavirus disease being reported across the country.

Meanwhile, the Central Government has expressed concern over the alarming situation in Kerala. In this regard, the Central Government has sent a team of 6 members under the leadership of National Center for Disease Control (NCDC).

On Thursday, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted that a team of experts is being sent to Kerala. More number of new cases is being reported in Kerala than other states of the country. This team of experts is being sent. This team will review the situation of Corona in Kerala and share the Corona related measures with the State Government. The team will cooperate with the measures being taken to deal with Corona there.
