11 more RTPCR tests labs to be functional soon in UP

Lucknow, June 28: The Uttar Pradesh government’s model in preventing the spread of coronavirus pandemic is getting much adulation. The condition of the state is getting better with the passing of each day.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in the meeting of the Covid-9 team on Monday that it is time to take extra vigilance and caution. Markets have opened; traffic etc. is operating uninterruptedly, so every resident of the state has to be careful.

Yogi said that it is necessary to strictly follow the covid preventive practices like masks, sanitization and distance of two yards. A little carelessness can lead to a big problem.

Team-9 said that 02 lakh 63 thousand tests were done in the last 24 hours. In the same period, 190 new cases have been reported and 261 people have recovered and discharged. The daily positivity rate has come down to less than 0.1 percent, while the recovery rate is 98.5 percent.

At present, the total active cases have come down to 3,046. 1868 people are being treated in home isolation. Till now 5, 73, 48, 462 Covid tests have been done in the state.

They informed that a state-wide campaign is being started from July 01 for effective control of communicable diseases. There is a need to increase awareness regarding cleanliness, fogging sanitization in rural areas. All necessary preparations should be made for the successful implementation of the campaign. The cooperation of public representatives should also be taken in the efforts to spread awareness.

They told that the facility of genome sequencing is being continuously increased in the state for in-depth study and testing of corona virus. Genome testing is being done in collaboration with BHU, Varanasi, KGMU Lucknow and CDRI, IGIB, Delhi. This study report will be helpful in management to avoid the Delta+ variant.

Chief Minister Yogi informed that soon 11 new RTPCR test laboratories will become functional in the state. All necessary preparations should be completed expeditiously regarding starting their operation. Along with this, there will be RTPCR test laboratories in 45 districts of the state. Action should be taken to establish such laboratories in the remaining 30 districts also within the next three-four months.

He said that patients infected with the new variant ‘Delta +’ of corona virus are being found in 11 states of the country. Uttar Pradesh will have to take special precautions. According to experts, this time the variant is more dangerous than before. All necessary steps should be taken as per the advice of experts without delay.

While directing the officers, he said that in view of the possibility of third wave of Covid, all necessary efforts should be completed at the earliest. Speed ​​up the process of establishment of Piku and Niku. So far, the number of paediatric ICU beds in medical colleges alone has exceeded 5,900, officials said. The process of establishing Piku and Niku is also going on in the hospitals of the Health Department. Top priority should be given to this work in all the districts.

The Chief Minister said that vaccination is the best protection cover to prevent corona. So far, more than 03 crore 04 lakh vaccine doses have been administered in the state. The enthusiasm of the people at the vaccination centres in rural areas is pleasant. A large number of people are coming for vaccination.
