UP: Fall in black fungus cases in state, 4 fresh admitted in KGMU

Lucknow, 26 June: Four new patients of black fungus or Mucormycosis have been admitted to King George’s Medical University (KGMU) within 24 hours on Saturday. One patient died during treatment.

KGMU spokesperson Dr Sudhir Singh said that 469 patients of black fungus have been admitted so far. The doctors here said that the patient defeated the black fungus through medicines. It is a matter of relief that the way the patients of black fungus had increased; now they are also recovering fast.

According to the spokesperson, four new patients have been admitted to KGMU in the last 24 hours, while four patients also had to undergo surgery. Three patients have also been discharged. One patient died during treatment.
