10 scribes infected by deadly virus in Varanasi

Varanasi, August 09: On the initiative of Kashi Journalists Association and Varanasi Press Club, the district administration organized a camp for Covid-19 screening of media persons at Smriti Bhavan on Sunday.

In this, ten journalists were found to be corona positive.

In the presence of the District Magistrate (DM) Kaushal Raj Sharma, the health of more than 68 media persons and their families was examined.

The cases of coronavirus infection among journalists in Varanasi are also surging rapidly; however, sensing this, the district administration is seen serious On Sunday.

During this, the DM Kaushal Raj Sharma said that journalists who have been found infected by the deadly virus, there is no need to be panic. Vigilance is the best treatment. Those found positive remain in home isolation. If any type of problem increases then they can contact concerned authority . They will be admitted to Covid hospitals. Medical kits were provided to the infected journalists at the camp.

The Chief Medical Officer Varanasi Dr V.B. Singh, ACMO and Covid Rapid Action Team in-charge Dr Sanjay Rai, Union President Rajnath Tiwari, General Secretary Manoj Shrivastava and Varanasi Press Club President Chandan Rupani were present at the camp.
