Kolkata, March 21: Famous cricketer Yusuf Pathan has reached Bengal for the first time after being declared the Trinamool candidate from Baharampur seat in Murshidabad district. On Thursday he campaigned in the area. There was a crowd of people on both sides of the road to see him.

During this, he also responded to the allegations of BJP and other parties of declaring Yusuf Pathan an outsider. Yusuf Pathan said that PM Narendra Modi is originally from Gujarat but contests elections from Varanasi. If he contests elections in another state and is not an outsider, then I am also from Gujarat and how did I become an outsider by contesting elections in Bengal.

Referring to the expectations of the people, he said that he will try to live up to the expectations of the area residents. Yusuf Pathan expressed confidence about his victory and referring to the sitting MP from here, Adhir Chaudhary, said that there is definitely a political fight with him but there is no personal enmity.
