Bhopal, March 21: A survey will be conducted by the Archaeological Survey of India on the lines of Gyanvapi in the historical Bhojshala located at Dhar district headquarters of Madhya Pradesh. This survey will start on Friday, March 22. For this, the Union Culture Ministry has issued a letter and informed the district administration about this.

This letter has been issued to Indore Commissioner along with Collector Dhar and SP Dhar. In this, it has been asked to make arrangements for security during the survey. In this letter the officials have talked about starting the survey.

After receiving the letter, Dhar Collector Priyank Mishra and Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Singh reached Bhojshala along with the administrative team on Thursday. He inspected the entire complex. Collector Mishra gave instructions to deploy additional forces at Bhojshala police post.

It is noteworthy that Hindu Front for Justice had applied to the Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court for the scientific survey of Maa Saraswati Temple Bhojshala. Advocate Harishankar Jain and Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, appearing on behalf of Hindu Front for Justice, told the court that the surveys conducted in the past also clearly show that Bhojshala is a temple of Vagdevi. Nothing more than this. Hindus have full right to worship here. There will be no change in the religious character of Bhojshala by giving the right of worship to Hindus.

Advocate Himanshu Joshi, on behalf of the Archaeological Survey of India, told the court that in the year 1902-03, the Archaeological Department had surveyed Bhojshala. Its report is also presented in the court. Photographs are also attached with the report. Lord Vishnu and lotus are clearly visible in these. There is no need for a new survey. The order was issued in 2003 on the basis of the survey report.

The Bhojshala dispute is centuries old. Hindus say that this is the temple of Goddess Saraswati. Centuries ago, Muslims violated its sanctity and built the tomb of Maulana Kamaluddin here. Even today, there are pictures of Gods and Goddesses and verses written in Sanskrit in Bhojshala. The British had taken the idol of Vagdevi installed in the banquet hall to London. The petition said that Bhojshala is a place of worship for Hindus.

After hearing the petition of the organization Hindu Front for Justice, the High Court had issued orders to conduct a scientific survey of Bhojshala on March 11. In this, a five-member team will survey the banquet hall. This survey is to be conducted at different points. Under this, it can mainly be revealed that what kind of symbols are there and what kind of architectural style is there. It will also become clear what kind of heritage this is.

As per the court order, a five-member team will survey the Bhojshala under the supervision of the ASI Director General. Along with this, this committee will present its report within the next six weeks. Also, the court has allowed two representatives each from both the parties, i.e. Hindu and Muslim, to be present there during the survey. Orders were given to collect photographs as well as videography of the entire survey.
