Yogi govt provides monetary aid to the kin of 4 soldiers martyred in Sikkim

Lucknow, 24 Dec: Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, paid rich tributes to the army men who perished in a horrific road accident in Sikkim and provided a Rs 50 lakh financial help to the kin of four soldiers from the state.

Sixteen army men, including three Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), were killed on Friday after an army truck crashed into a canyon while taking a sharp curve in Gema, North Sikkim.

According to a statement published by the state government, Chief Minister Yogi praised the courage and gallantry of jawans Lokesh Kumar, of the Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh, Shyam Singh Yadav, of Unnao, Bhupendra Singh, of Etah, and Charan Singh, of Lalitpur, who died in the disaster.

A member of each grieving family would be given a government job, and a road in their home area will be named after the slain troops, according to the statement, which also stated that their funeral rites will be held with state honours. Adityanath expressed his sympathies, saying that the state government is with the troops’ families during this difficult time.
