Noida, 24 Dec: A newborn spotted inside bushes in Greater Noida’s Knowledge Park neighbourhood was breastfed by the wife of a Station House Officer. On December 20, her parents abandoned her in bushes outside Sharda hospital, wrapped in a towel. A police squad hurried to the scene after getting information about the newborn, according to a senior police officer.
“She was escorted to the police station, where Jyoti Singh, the SHO’s wife, volunteered to breastfeed her. “The infant was hungry and chilly, and we knew he couldn’t be fed anything other than breast milk,” the official explained.
According to police, the infant girl is presently in stable condition. Police are also inspecting CCTV footage in the neighbourhood to identify the person who had abandoned her.
