Wuhan virus: Total cases reach to 25,000 in India, toll mounts to 779

New Delhi, 25 April: The number of global pandemic novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in the country has now reached near twenty five thousand.

With this, the death toll from this contagious disease has also reached to 779.

According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Saturday evening, the number of corona patients in the country has increased to 24942.

Among those found to be positive cases, 111 patients are of foreign origin. At the same time, there is also relief news that a total of 5210 patients in the country have returned home after getting cured.

The number of Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi is increasing.

In Maharashtra, which has become a coronavirus infection center, there have been 301 deaths due to coronavirus so far and the number of corona cases has crossed six thousand.

No new cases have been reported in the country in Puducherry, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Goa and Tripura for the past several days.

According to the Health Ministry, now coronavirus patients have been confirmed in 32 states and union territories of the country.

Andaman and Nicobar – 27, 1061 (+106) in Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh – 1, Assam – 36, Bihar – 228 (+5), Chhattisgarh – 36, Delhi – 2514, Goa – 7, Gujarat – 2815 (+1) , Haryana-272, Himachal Pradesh-40, Jharkhand-59 (+2), Karnataka- 489 (+13), Kerala-451 (+1), Madhya Pradesh-1952 (+100), Maharashtra- 6817, Manipur-2, Mizoram-1, Meghalaya-12, Odisha-94, Puducherry-7, Punjab-298, Rajasthan-2034, Tamil Nadu-1755, Telangana-984, Tripura-2, Chandigarh-28 (+1), Jammu and Kashmir-454 ( +27), Ladakh-20, 1778 (+157) in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand-48 and West Bengal -571 cases have been confirmed.
