With Prayagraj trade body’s effort, 11 prisoners freed from Naini Central Jail

Prayagraj, 07 Jan: Many people are still serving prison sentence in Central Jail Naini Prayagraj due to not being able to deposit the fine. Extending a helping hand, District Mahila Vyapar Mandal and Smile Spreaders Prayagraj ensured the release of eleven prisoners.

Those who were released are 1-Monu son of late Idu, 2-Chhotu son of Jodhan alias Jivadhan, 3-Devraj Tiwari son of Ramkrishna Tiwari, 4- Ranjeet alias Baga son of Manik Chand, 5- Shiv Pujan Singh son of Suraj Pal Singh, 6- Ranjeet son of Chhote Lal, 7- Chandan son of Suresh Kumar, 8- Bablu Pandey son of Kesharaj, 9- Ramprakash Pasi alias Raja son of Late Sharda Prasad, 10-Jitu Singh son of Surjit Singh, 11-Vishal Kumar Shah son of Jitendra Shah, all prisoners have been released from jail after depositing the total fine amount of Rs. 37000/-.

On this occasion, District Mahila Vyapar Mandal’s District President Avantika Tandon, Senior Vice President Hina Khan, General Secretary Pallavi Arora, Colonel Kaushal Chaturvedi, Sarita Chaturvedi and Priyadarshini Singh, Rahul Banerjee, Swati Srivastava were present.

For the help and all-round development of the prisoners, the Prison Department, District Mahila Vyapar Mandal and Smile Spreaders wish for the bright future of released inmates and express their gratitude.

President Avantika Tandon said that this step will help 11 prisoners start a new life in 2024. Senior Vice President Hina Khan pledged to take more such meaningful steps with Smiles Spreader Foundation.

General Secretary Pallavi Arora said that every effort will be made to take such steps this year for those women who are locked in jail and they will be helped in every way in the beginning towards a new life.

On this occasion, Colonel Kaushal Chaturvedi ji along with his wife Sarita Chaturvedi was present and she shook hands with the liberated prisoners, patted their backs and encouraged them and asked them to start a new life by following the right path.

Priyadarshini Singh, Headmistress of Bishop Johnson Girls Wing, said that in the year 2024 she will also provide assistance to women prisoners in various areas.
